Why Rotary ?

The Albemarle County Rotary Club is one of over 30,000 clubs worldwide.   Our Club is a diverse group of people from a variety of professions – nonprofits, business and education. Not everyone is an accountant.

All of the members are committed to giving back, doing good things for others. Each year, we award scholarships totaling between $15,000 – $20,000 to students continuing their education, and to adults who need training to get a job. We have been involved in international projects to provide clean water in Africa, provided Shelter Boxes to areas affected by natural disasters, and support Polio Plus in an effort to rid the world of polio.

At our weekly meetings, we have awesome presentations where we learn about new developments in our community and the world. Please join us on Thursday at the Boar’s Head Inn to meet an amazing group of people.
